It’s about a deep, unbreakable bond,
a passion that guides me in every
challenge I face

I still remember that unforgettable day in 1997 — I was only six, but it’s as vivid as if it happened yesterday. Our team, Wydad, was playing in the final, and I was surrounded by my family, all equally invested in every kick, every pass.

Supporting Wydad is more than just a choice for us; it’s in our blood, a love inherited from father to son. Being a Wydad fan is like a family tradition, one that we all proudly carry.

That final match in 1997 is when my love for the game truly began. It was 0-0 as we entered extra time, and the tension was so thick you could feel it in the air. Then came the moment I’ll never forget — Daoudi’s free-kick goal.

In one incredible strike, the ball flew past the keeper, securing our victory with a golden goal. It was the first goal I can remember, a memory that cemented my lifelong dedication to Wydad.

As a child, one of my happiest moments was waking up early in the morning, full of energy and excitement, knowing I’d be heading to Wydad’s club training sessions.

I was part of the Wydad school team back then, and stepping onto that field felt like a dream come true. My first big dream was to play for the senior team one day, imagining myself as the star player scoring the winning goal.

But as I grew older, my father gently urged me to focus on my studies instead. Though I didn’t become a Wydad player, I never lost my place among the fans, standing in the Curva Nord, singing and cheering with all my heart.

To this day, I rarely miss a game. Supporting Wydad isn’t just about being a fan; it’s about a deep, unbreakable bond, a passion that guides me in every challenge I face.

We even say in one of our songs: “Loaded with the week's problems… I just want to relax... heading to the Curva… Once I see it (Wydad)… The morale lifts”.
